Hey guys, today I will share my Manali tour experience with you all. I started my journey from Delhi and ended up at Manali. It took an overnight journey by car. I must tell you the road from Kullu to Manali is awesome, and I enjoyed the beautiful views of the banks of the river Vyas. I stopped my car to enjoy the views and have my breakfast at a Dhaba on the bank of river Vyas.
After satisfying my hunger, I started to move toward Manali, but I had to go through the Green Tax Barrier. It comes half a kilometer before Manali, where I paid Rs.300/ for the Green Tax. After that, I entered Mall Road in Manali city. My whole journey from Delhi to Manali as a solo traveler took around 14 hours.
The beauty of Manali
The hill town of Manali gave me a cool feeling of reaching my destinations. I found this place to be more amazing than I have ever imagined. This place can show you its unmatched natural beauty, fast flowing rivers, high and snow-capped hills, springs of water falling in the melodious music tone, green valleys, beautiful paths, clean climate, dense forest, tall and beautiful trees, and many more.
The distance between Manali and Kullu is about 40 km, but you may not feel the distance as it can show you the most entertaining path of nature. I found many things are easily available here as it is a famous hill town and populated with strollers and tourists over the years. I have interacted with the local people and found that the best time to visit Manali is the winter season, from January to March, to enjoy the snowfall as well as plan for the summer season from April to June.
Before visiting Manali, I did some research on the place where I found that the city's name came from the history meaning "abode of Manu." Presently, people know this place as the top hill station in India. Manali is always given first priority among married couples to celebrate their honeymoon.
Thus, many travel agents are making money by providing a complete honeymoon package to married couples. If you have any plans to visit Manali, then you must prefer the winter and summer seasons to visit. Here, you can get rid of the heat during the summer and enjoy the white sheet of snow during the winter season.
Now, let's move to my solo travel journey. As I reached Manali in the morning time, it was quite a peace in the streets and markets. I parked my car near Mall Road and looked for a hotel room so that I could get fresh up. The hotel rooms that I found were not within my budget, some were not vacant, and I don't want to go for cheap rooms where the comfort level does not match.
I was fed up with searching for rooms for an hour. Meanwhile, a local boy came to me and said, "are you looking for a room?" and I said yes. He took me to a room that came within my budget along with a car parking facility, and I liked the hospitality services of the hotel rooms.
The hotel's name was Tirupati Classic, where I paid Rs.800/ per day for the room, including all taxes. After checking into the room, I freshened up and ate some snacks, and slept for a while. And I woke up in the evening around 5. I met the hotel manager and asked him about the places to visit. After that, I made a tour schedule for 2 days.
1. Tour schedule for 1st day
On the very first day, I decided to visit Tibetan Monastery, Hadimba Devi Temple, Van Vihar, and Club House.
I must say Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has maintained it very well. As I was on a solo trip, I did not have a partner to play the games with. But I met a kid who gave me a company to play carrom. I suggest you visit the place with your family and friends so that you can have more fun together.
After visiting these places, I was running out of time as it was already 9 pm. So, I have to run back to Mall Road. After reaching Mall Road, I had dinner at a restaurant and went to my room, and planned everything for the next day.
2. Tour schedule for 2nd day
On the second day, I had planned to visit many places like Rahala Waterfall, Kothi, Nehru Kund, Gulaba, Rohtang Pass, Rani Nala, Solang Valley & Temple, Mehri, and other nearby places. I scheduled this tour according to my convenience and time so that I cover most of the places within the limited time. The second day also managed to cover most of the places.
The most exciting places that I visited that day were:
Overall, I must say the Manali tour is my best tour ever. If you want to enjoy the pleasant flow of breeze in Manali, then you must come here.
